Cultivation: Damiana is a perennial shrub that reaches
between 2 to 3 feet in height. It
prefers a location where it will receive full sun. It is known to attract butterflies, bees,
birds, and other wildlife. Damiana will adapt to most soil conditions but does
best in a well drained loamy environment. Allow the soil t dry out between waterings.
Toxicity: Avoided in pregnancy. May affect the control of blood sugar in
diabetic patients.
